第一类：Detached House
Detached garden,detached villa,with its own garden and garage
第二类：Semi-detached House
就是说一幢房子会有左右两家,但也会有自己的车库和花园
第三类：Terrace House,在一排房中间的房子叫mid-terrace house（也就是说你左右两边都会与邻居有一墙之隔）,在一排房最后的叫做end terrace house,只与邻居有一墙之隔,这种房子大多都没有车库,花园也不大.
第四类：bungalow,它也是独立的、独门独园的（除非特别指明是semi-detached bungalow,会与邻居有一墙之隔）.它与Detached House的不同点就是它只有一层.
下面这个4 bedroom detached house,就是由一座教堂Methodist Church改建而成.
另外英国房子还有一种名为cottage,大多都具有数百年以上的历史,价格不菲.

一类是council house.英国政府提供council house的服务对象正是这个群体.

还有一类便是Flat（如下图）,就是国内最常见的公寓房.英国的Flat鲜有国内和香港那种高层,可能象伦敦等大城市也会有高层的.但一般的市、镇的Flat都在三至五层.
