Last week,my uncle had a strange experience.On Saturday night,he went to a later show at the cinema.After the show was over,he had supper at a small restaurant.Then he walked home.When he arrived home,he realized that he had forgotten to take the house key with him.He had left the key inside and banged the door close when going out.How was he going to get in?
Luckily,he noticed that a side window was not fully closed.By pushing his arm inside,he could turn the knob(把手)on the door and open it.Happy at this thought he pushed the window open and was about to put his hand inside.
Just then,a police car was passing by.The police saw a man trying to get into the house through the window.At once,they came and caught hole of Uncle.He tried to explain(解释),but they did not believe him.
At last,he asked them to come inside his house.There on the wall,he showed them his photographs.The police then believed him,but they advised Uncle not to do such a thing in future as thieves(小偷)might follow his example.
