The stories about Lunar New Year
There are many stories about the Lunar New Year.According to the old people,in ancient times,there was a big monster called " Nian",which brought a lot of disasters to mankind.People were quite upset with it.They prayed to God,who showed them how to make firecrackers to keep the Nian Monster away.Then the day came,and Nian was just to show up when he heard a big bang!Nian got so frightened and disappeared.
People then every year celebrate the day and fire firecrackers.And there are also other stories,but this one shall be the most popular ones.

The old year silently passed out.
A brand new year has arrived.
Let us all gather round and cheer,
Let’s sing .let’s dance and let’s shout
“ Happy New Year!”
I’ve had bad things in the past,
But I know in my heart that these will not last.
Listen up,these are my new year resolutions.I will be gentler,smarter,healthier.
I will try to squeeze some time each day to help my mom and dad.
I will stop to smell flowers and to gaze at the blue sky each day.
I will be neat and watch what I eat.
I will lend my helping hands to the people I know as well as the people I don’t know.
I will read more books and let my imaginations run wild.
With wonder,hope and good wishes
I welcome the new year with my open arms.

It is time to wipe our tears of the passing year.
It is time to wave and say good bye to year 2006.
Let’s embrace the new year with new hopes and smiles.

The new year is coming!Now,it's the time to make the resolutions for the new year.Here is what I am going to do:
1.I am going to get better grades.I'm good at English and Chinese, but I need to improve in my Math.I'll study better!
2.I am going to break my bad habits.I often get up very very late. To get early is good for my health. So I'll get up earlier than usual.
3.I am going to eat better.Ioften eat a lot of junk food. they are not good for my health.I should eat more fruits and vegetables.Then will make my body healthier and stronger.
This year was a good year for me,but Ican make next year even better.I'll work hard to keep my resolutions
